We are pleased to announce that Electronic Film Capacitors is RoHS compliant and has been since February 2005 on all versions of the following products:

All the restricted materials that are listed below have been eliminated or minimized to the acceptable levels as stated in the European Union Directive 2002/95/EC.

Lead (Pb) Mercury (Hg) Cadmium (Cd) Hexavalent Chromium (Cr VI)
Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)

All remaining EFC series including 1206, 1306, 1606, and 1906 will be compliant by September 2005.

The part numbers of RoHS compliant parts remain the same as previous versions which may not have been compliant; however, by September 2005 all compliant parts will be identified by means of the added letter "R" after the date code on the capacitors as well as by the change of labels. All packaging containing compliant parts will have an indication stating RoHS Compliance.
